‘Our invincible history is our strength’

Y Wangtin Naga
President NSCN/GPRN Reformation

Ladies and gentlemen, Revolutionary Comrades, on this occasion of 75th Naga Independence Day, may I appeal all the Nagas big and small to glorify the name of our Lord Jesus for unending guidance and protection throughout our political journey thus far, keeping our hopes alive.

On this auspicious day, I also saluting all revolutionary souls who have laid their precious lives in defense of our historical and political rights. The Naga history between 1950s to 2000s involved immeasurable blood and tears, to be remain in our minds as unforgettable nightmare till the end of this earth planet. All these blood, tears and hardships remained en-attended suffering unknown to the outside world. Therefore, realizing the futile exercises of bloody confrontation, both India and the NNPGs-WC have deeded to engage political dialogue in 2018 right after signing 'AGREED POSITION' and rolled on the rough surface of political disagreement, yet finally worked out workable formula and talk concluded peacefully on 31st October 2019 for final resolution of decades old conflict. Hence, nothing left to be discussed, yet the ball is on the GOI’s court. However, the Naga people should also understand their responsibility to stand unitedly with single voice, particularly, among the negotiators of different Naga political group(s), since our issue cannot be divided to suit our personal interest.

Our invincible history is our strength where our political foundation was laid but we cannot just dwell in the past history, instead we must march with contemporary reality (without abandon our political stand) for a practical solution. May I therefore, appeal to all beloved Naga brothers and sisters to wake-up from deep slumber and be a pragmatic and realistic being for our bright future.

Long Live Nagaland for Christ and Kuknalim
