Peren the forgotten district

Greetings ! MY dear Nagas,

Today I’m indeed happy to be at your doorsteps or homes through this daily news letter. We know and we are proud to be called as Citizens of the modern age with different types of machines all around us. Today one need not go on foot to the market to buy things, as there will always be a taxi or a two-wheeler waiting for us. Life is at it’s brink of enjoyment and comfort. Every man and woman on earth is enjoying life with glee and happiness and there is joy everywhere.

What? What did I say? Joy and Happiness? No.......... in this concept I’m wrong for we, the citizens of Peren are in struggle due to the worseness or irregularity of certain Departments.

To start with, let me make it clear that in Peren the communication system is at its worst that the phone lines or the mobile network remains cut off all the time. For the operators in the telephone exchange a slight shower is just enough for them to cut off the network which may remain cut off for days or even weeks. So, I say what is this?

Oh! Forget it for there is more to come. My dear Nagas, as you all have heard about the irregularity of Electricity in Nagaland, so it is in Peren. In Peren electricity is so irregular that when we hear the very ward we fell something burning inside us. What about your town?

In Peren electricity is just like a candle flame being played by a child. It will come and go off again in the next minute and when we lit the Candle light will be there and when we blow off the candle electricity will also go off. Not only that but about the bill too. Bills are never given in time and they will blame the innocent citizens for not paying the bill. So, I’m here eager to know that why are the bills not distributed to the people in time? Is there any shortage of workers? If not, I urge the head of the department to take immediate steps.

As I have mentioned in the beginning that we, the citizens of Peren are not living in the modern is the reason that our transport system or the road system is very bad. Yes! I’m telling the fact. If you don’t believe me you can come and see it for yourself. In our home town the road condition is too bad that if one comes from Dimapur or Kohima he/she will remain in the bad minimum for atleast a day due to body pain. The road of Peren has turned into small net work of canals by now. Yet, let me make it clear that the CIC in Peren is no better than any departments or offices as it remains close for almost all the time taking away the given opportunity for us students to know more about computers and internets. The PWD department is also the same. The workers will not be in their office in time giving us the problems of paying water bills. Not only has that but about the water supplied too. The water supply is too poor that in most of the houses the water tanks remains dry while some others are over flooding.

So, my dear Nagas I hope that now you know the purpose of my call on you. I want you to stand up and fight against the corrupt ones and keep the good ones. Change yourselves today my dear Ngas, for you are not sure whether the Sun which is shining today will shine again tomorrow or not.
