Through this esteem daily, I would like to draw the attention of his Excellency-The governor of Nagaland, Hon’ble Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues, the leader of opposition, Chief Secretary and the right thinking citizens of the NEW ERA. Precisely, I on-behalf of graduate + comp. Diploma LDAs would lie to lay down the main grievances faced by us. Whereas in olden times, the qualification for the post of LDAs were matriculate/under matriculate but as time changes, graduate+ comp diploma qualification has been made mandatory for the said post.
At present, we the Graduate + Computer Diploma LDAs getting pay in the scale of 5200-20200 with grade pay 1900/2000 just above grade iv (meant for matriculation/under matriculate “Purana” LDAs) is not a graduate’s pay and with heavy work load, tireless effort and where the question of Proxy doest not arise, getting less pay and even 10+2 primary teachers/10+ diploma or ITI job holders/10+2 foresters etc. the job seems too unsatisfying for graduate + Computer Diploma holders. Like the secretariat clerks, upgrading post of LDA cum Computer assistant to office assistant in the scale pay of 9300-34800 or an additional pay of computer assistant/operator (scale pay of 5200-20200) will be wise on the part of the government of Nagaland because more or less we all (secretariat/directorate/district clerks) went through the same recruitment process conducted by the NPSC.
I, therefore urge the above mentioned state machinery incumbents to kindly look into the matter and uphold the status of the untold “hearts and souls” of each and every government establishment.
Lastly I call upon the recently qualified graduate + Computer Diploma LDAs to wake up from your “Dreamland”.
