Separation of judiciary, pay hike, up-gradation of posts demanded

DIMAPUR, DEC 10 (MExN): The 3rd General Conference of the Nagaland Judicial Officer’s Association held on December 10 at DC (Judicial) conference hall, Dimapur passed several important resolutions including the demand for implementing the separation of judiciary as done in neighboring states. It also demanded the implementation of a new scale of pay as recommended by the Sethi National Judicial Pay Commission.

The general conference which discussed many important issues also called for up gradation of three DC (Judicial) post in the existing pay of DC (Judicial), Nagaland. The conference likewise called for early implementation of the Nagaland Judicial Service Rules 2002.

New office bearers for the term 2006-07 were also elected.
