State Bank of India Noklak Branch is dysfunctional

The lone State Bank of India Branch at Noklak Sub-division has been dysfunctional since the last two weeks due to reasons best left unexplained. The Asstt. Branch Manager, who is in charge of the bank in the absence of a Branch Manager who has been transferred out but yet to be replaced, had earlier informed that the technicians would arrive on 21st of this Month; however, they must be traveling on foot and the public woe continues. Meanwhile, public anguish is building up and NGO leaders and administrative officers are under pressure to do intervene.
Now, if at all the authorities need to be reminded: besides other important business transactions, the Branch caters to the banking needs of more than 70,000 thousand population of the whole Khiamniungan area. Out of this, we have sizable number of students studying outside who depends on the monthly remittance through this lone branch. As always; even if something is amiss, we do not complain unless it becomes unbearably achy. But this doesn’t mean, you have the consent to be complacent in your attitude towards the people of this lesser known pocket of the State.
Therefore, please be a little bit empathetic and attend to the issues at once and also make sure that such incidents are quickly attended to in future as well. Beneath the unassuming façade of the public, there’s a silent storm brewing up. Please be aware of it and our mental health as a result of service standards, such as yours. And do also think about what a one hour network outage or link failure would mean it if it was somewhere else!
“With us all the way” – we appreciate, but not if you give us woes.
