Student bodies discuss COVID-19 issues with Paiwang

Mon, June 30 (MExN): A meeting with student bodies from Wakching and Aboi, Konyak Union and Empowered Committee was convened by Paiwang Konyak, Minister, Transport, Civil Aviation, Railways & Land Resources for discussing issues relating to COVID-19 at Walo Guest House, Mon Town on June 30.

 

The union in a press release stated that Paiwang who is also the Minister Incharge for COVID-19 of Mon District thanked the student bodies for their selfless and dedicated duties in fighting against COVID-19. He further encouraged the student leaders to keep going till the end. 

 

Yonglong Chemshe, Convenor, Combined Wakching Students' Union also spoke about the difficulties faced by the students while delivering voluntary services for COVID-19. He assured that the CWSU shall fight tooth and nail to save Konyak in general and Wakching in particular from the deadly virus. The union thanked the Minister for donating Rs. 50,000 towards the union fund for expenses of the two check gates installed at Wakching.
