What if the truth is untold & subjugated?

First of all my hearty congratulation and appreciation to Government of the day, special thanks and respect to all the frontline workers, all the stakeholders and individuals involved in a battle against this invisible virus. In spite of limited resources and health care facilities that is available at our disposal in our poorly structured state by seeing the contributions and sacrifices of our frontline warriors. It gives us immense strength and ray of hope in defeating this dreaded virus very soon.

In fact, along with rest of the world, we Nagas are also equally in shamble and apprehensions but it does not meant we failed to see the life beyond and after global pandemic is over. We Nagas were best known for our honesty, hospitality and bravery at the war front. But, this fight is unusual, we need to keep aside our emotional attachment and need to combat against this virus with extra caution n preparedness so that one person, one family and one Government move, negligence and carefree attitude may not lead to disastrous repercussions.

If we Nagas really wanted to bring changes and revival in our social and economic, religious and political compositions, we need to change ourselves first followed by our gullible and self centric mindset. As the say goes “there is a time for everything” and though unprecedented and uncalled for, this COVID-19 crisis has really thought us a great lesson for our generation to remember for the lifetime and to evolve with it and Nevertheless, It has also exposed multitude of our lapses and shortcomings. So, If we Nagas want to land and live in” New Nagaland “as we aspire for, the truth needs to be told without fear and prejudices and we should not at any cost let the truth be subjugated at the mercy and comfort of one individual, one particular Tribe and on the diktat of one organization/NGOs. We Nagas were badly divided and become so unequal that tribal issues and isms has overtaken political issues and it is bound to happened because corruption, mis-governance and disparities has surmounted all over Nagaland.

Changing the capital of our state is not the solution but rebuilding and refurbishing our disparities in development, infrastructure, income, wealth and equal opportunity is the paramount importance and pertinent issues which needs immediate attention and should be sorted at the earliest. But for the betterment and convenience of all the Nagas, If we Nagas think that “State capital’ needs to be changed than  try find out new option, before us many other states have also done the same, So there is no harm for us in doing it either.

But whatsoever, the crying over ‘State capital’ should not be a stumbling block and hindrance for the progress, prosperity and Unity of our State. But whatever be the outcome of latest uprising and interlude, If we Nagas keep on considering every issues on tribal lines sooner or later fragmentation and Partition of Nagaland is on fray and imminent. To save our beautiful Nagaland and our undivided Nagas from further damage and perceived consequences and events, we Nagas have to come out  from the “captive cage of tribalistic mindset” before we Nagas succumbed to the wave of deadliest virus of ‘tribalism, isms and corruption.’ This COVID-19 pandemic may be eradicated in totality in few months to come or we may have to live with it forever but ‘tribalism, isms and corruption’ has deeply rooted in our society that it is not going to let us live together with happiness, peace and oneness for a long time. What we foresee is, the virus of ‘tribalism, isms and corruption’ has become more deadly and dreaded than the Corona virus in Nagaland. So, for we to overcome against this manmade diabolic virus, the only  vaccine and solution to this problem is to start thinking and acclimatizing ourselves in a way that  there exist only One tribe  in Nagaland i.e. the one and only we the “Nagas”.

Of course we understand, the fight against this Corona virus is not going to be that easy till its vaccine or drug is found, but though lethal the virus is, we cannot overlook other aspects of our life too. The fight against this virus and life must go on side by side and seemingly at the same time we need to keep tracking, pressurizing and exposed the government in power and its stakeholders over their mis-management and mis-governance for just and healthy society to live in.

Regarding the latest razing incident of sending returnees of Tuensang Districts to Tuensang from Kohima by flouting all COVID-19 Protocol and norms leading to social unrest and anarchy because of severity of danger associated with the virus.

Though my hearts and soul is with our ENPO brothers and sisters during this trying times but their demands has really baffled and saddens me because they are demanding suspension and termination of service of those erring government officials instead of blaming and demanding the government in power to step down and to pave way for opposition party to take over, since from day one we are closely observing that the government has been blatantly misleading the public and miserably failed to handle this crisis immaculately and with aptness.

I don’t know what will be the reaction of the government against the representation of ENPO, but I just felt sorry for those government officials who are about to be suspended or terminated. Remember they were just following the orders and directions of their bosses in power, though expected maturity and tactful intervention from the government officials on their part in handling and dealing with the circumstances but again not rescuing them but they were just a “Scapegoat” in whole of the episode and projections.

The real ‘Judas’ is our own public representatives (MLAs) headed by its ‘Lucifer’ in command. The justification of the Government adds more bizarre saying ‘Communication Gap’ was the reason behind for sending off Tuensang District returnees. This statement is absolutely absurd and needs total condemnation by all right thinking citizens of our Nagaland, God Forbid, nothing such gravity situations emerges but the government sheer negligence and carefree attitude has lead to commit a crime, which is not less or more than a genocide and a crime against humanity and mankind.

Government in power has to kept their “Coffin” ready and opposition party has to put their “Engine On” to pounce. But it is not advisable and right time for “Change Of Guard” so, irrespective of party affiliations, all of us needs to come together in unison and should support, guide and motivate the frontline workers and warriors and the Government in tackling and defeating this global pandemic. But after the containment of this predicament in totality, we expect to see and dream off infinitude of changes to take place within each individual life and in our society strides and approaches, alerting opposition party to re- immersed yourself and washed off your sins first and get ready to toppled the failed government in power and lead our State with “new hope and Vision”.

“Truth alone triumphs and prevails over everything”. Many wants to be a Hero but real heroes are rare and seen in action, if not let us be an unsung Heroes in winning the battle against this indistinguishable virus. Government and its machinery alone cannot but together we can emerge victorious. Long Live Nagaland. Brighter days are ticking and ahead. Kuknalim!
