Who is more dangerous?

The statement of IGAR-North and GoC Nagaland S.S Kumar’s statement on 19th of November 2005, is not to be taken as it is. All sensible Nagas especially the youths of today must analyze thoroughly, considering the nature of our political situation. The statement particularly made for the security of the Nagas that the Assam Rifles would resort to confrontation with the warring NSCN factions if they continue with their feud, seems to be a mockery in itself! Here are some of my observations which I leave it to my fellow Nagas to decide.

1. What does General S. S Kumar know about the Naga mentality to make such a statement? Yes, to plainly accept his word without speculation it is correct, and thank you General for making such a concerned statement for our safety! But if given a chance I would plainly say to Mr. Kumar; “Sir, you don’t have to be concerned for what doesn’t concern you, instead you better check out how many innocent Nagas your men have killed. All our forefathers and grandfathers have suffered untold miseries in your hands, which also you did for our security!!! How many of our girls have you raped and robbed of their lives?

2. You and your men can not live in sheepskin. It is more appropriate if you say your men are running out of patience because you want to torture innocent Nagas. When you talk about our security, don’t you know that you are showing your rusted teeth to bite again?

3. With the prevalence of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act of 1958, despite rectifications as claimed makes you more dangerous than our divided Nagas. You may pretend, but the Naga youths are too wise to buy that superficial statement.

4. Hello, if you are reading this; ‘’How soon it happened that you had to turn the table on yourself. To confuse the Naga innocents you ‘Army Top-guns’ are experts in embellishing your statements which is usually honey coated, undoubtedly bought by many innocents, but not this time! ‘For the security of the Publics your senseless jawans, as foolish as they are, fired indiscriminately killing 4 (four) members of a family on 20th of November’ 05, in  Tamenglong district of Manipur! What do you have to say to that? Do you think selling off your own life can bring back those victims back to life? Please Mr. Kumar, try to speak sense. Every-one of us including your life is very precious.”

5. Mr. General I don’t know how you’d like to be addressed best; Mr., Lord, Majesty, Sir, etc, etc, but if you want respect from the Naga youths it is best that you deal with Bangladesh border, Burma border, Pakistan border and -China border issues, but don’t be concerned about the security concern within Nagaland which is our family issue. I don’t think we’ll believe someone who tortured us 1 (one) minute back and talks about peace the very next minute, inspite of saying sorry (though sorry is inadequate)!!!

6. No doubt it is a very sad thing that our Naga brothers working for the nation are posing a threat for the security of the Naga populace, and it is because of ideological and policy crisis, in which ego is playing a wonderful role, each side not willing to compromise with even a pinch! My heartfelt congratulations go to our Naga underground leaders for their obstinacy and stubbornness. Your self ego which has become larger than life has made you killing machines that you no more care about the life of another Naga brother. You may still be able to command obedience, but slowly and steadily you are losing respect of the Nagas. Can’t you feel it? How will a foreigner like Mr. Kumar be bold enough to make such a public statement if all the Naga people are still bonded physically and mentally with you? A Naga killing another Naga is Homicide and Fratricidal killing, it is a crime to call it PATRIOTISM.

7. Whatever the situation and condition as it may appear, Nagas were always Nagas, are always Nagas and shall be Nagas. Unless the whole Nagas vanishes, killing is never the solution. If killing is the solution Nagas definitely would had been fully independent by the 1980’s. It is only the Nagas who can solve this protracted Political Disease with the help of the ‘LIVING GOD WE BELIEVE IN’, but definitely not with the help of a foreigner like Mr. Kumar and his bullies.

In conclusion, I say; ‘’Yes, I may be harsh in my statement with the vigor of my youth flowing in me, but my dissatisfaction with my Naga brothers has been pricked once again by the IGAR’s statement, as such I don’t regret my vividly infuriated statement”. Dear Naga brothers our kitchen is now raided over and over again in our presence while we are still fighting over an ounce of meat! Isn’t it time for us to wake up? Please listen to the wake up call, we may run out of battery. God please give us WISDOM.
