DIMAPUR, APRIL 26 (MExN): The Sumi Youth Organization (SYO) has supported the decision taken by DCCI to impose an indefinite business shutdown in Dimapur from April 26.
In a press release, the SYO said it stands in “unwavering solidarity with the business community in their fight against illegal practices and takes cognizance of the financial pressures created by these practices and the challenges that business owners face in meeting their demands.” It asserted that such illegal practices not only discourage legitimate entrepreneurship but also restrict the potential of young people who aspire to engage in legal business activities.
The SYO also said timely intervention by the State Government is crucial to protect the interests of the business community and establish a sustainable economic environment. It, therefore, urged the government of the day to work collaboratively with the business community to address the ongoing challenges faced by them.
