Defragmentation within NPGS will prolong final solution

SKH appeals NSCN (R) leaders to work out differences

Zunheboto, November 23 (MExN): The Sümi Kükami Hoho (SKH) on Tuesday said that further defragmentation within Naga political groups would jeopardize and prolong the much awaited final political solution to the vexed Indo-Naga political issue.

Referring to the recent split in the NSCN (Reformation) group as an “unfortunate development,” SKH President H Kashito Yepthomi, General Secretary Hetoho S Zhimomi and Finance Secretary Ghuhevi Khujumi urged the two leaders—Wangtin Naga and Akato Chophi “to sit together and work out the differences and reconcile and come together as it is the desire of the people.”

It also appealed the Naga National Political Group (NNPG) leaders to “reconsider and revoke the expulsion order of Akato Chophi and intervene once again to see that the differences are buried once and for all.”

Reiterating the stand and the resolution of the 14 Tribal Hobos of Nagaland, the Nagaland GBs Federation and other Nagaland based organizations, the SKH asserted that it does not support any particular group but firmly reject any split within Naga political groups.

“The Sümi Kükami Hoho urges all the political groups to be united and pursue for an early solution to the protracted Naga Issue,” it added.
