Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): The Dimapur Sardar Sumi GBs’ Kuqhakulu called on H Tovihoto Ayemi, MLA & Advisor, Tribal Affairs and Election Department on Sunday evening and had a series of discussion with the Advisor, in regard to the wellbeing and progress of Dimapur.

Interacting with the Sumi GBs, Tovihoto said, “a GB is a powerful and influential person having immense responsibility towards the well-being of respective community or colony and therefore, all GBs must discharge their duties with sincerity.”

A press release received here stated that the Advisor encouraged the GBs to work hand in hand for a common cause which is beneficial for the public and let the future generations talk about the good leadership of the GBs. “The society will not progress and remain stagnant as long as there is personal differences individualistic attitude between the leaders,” the Advisor said.

In regard to the ensuing parliamentary election, Tovihoto said that Neiphiu Rio led PDA government is working hard to bring more and more developmental activities to the State and “for which it is imperative for the PDA government to have elected PDA representative in the Centre to voice out for the people of Nagaland.”

He, therefore, urged the GBs to wisely exercise their franchise in support of PDA consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry on April 19.
