District workshop on surveillance for Vaccine Preventable Diseases held

LONGLENG, NOVEMBER 22 (MExN): The District Health Society Longleng organised a one day district workshop on Surveillance for Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) at CMO conference hall Longleng on November 22.

CMO Longleng, Dr Tiasunep gave the welcome address and encouraged the participants to actively attend and participate in the workshop.

Dr Sheila Longkumer SMO, WHO, gave the PPT presentation. Topics discussed during the workshop include state and district update on VPD surveillance, global and national update on polio eradication, road map towards MR elimination in India, state and district update on MR elimination, review of MR drive, RI performance, RMP issues and challenges, AFP surveillance, DPT surveillance and MR Surveillance followed by discussion about developing a system towards a sensitive surveillance system on remote areas.

The participants were MO, DCM, DPO CD-2, Epidemiologist, CHO, DIO, BPM, BAC.
