Whenever we hear the word politician all that we assume are bribery, controversies and corruption. The negative aspects of it clouds our mind and makes us fail to see the positive aspects of it. When these vices controls our minds, the drawbacks of it pollutes our mind. The reason we view politics in a bad way is because we usually concentrate on the controversies surrounding it.
Our comments are usually sarcastic because we are always critical about everything. If we learn to do things in a manner that is worthy of a good citizen, we will see changes taking place in our lives and in our society. However that can happen only when we learn to view things the way the optimists views things. When all that we talk about are negative things how can we expect to see the positive things which we want in life. All that we want are the good things in life but all that we ever talk about are the bad things which we see.
The way I write may not be pleasant to everyone but the way things are is a matter of concern for everyone. When it comes to the growth of our nation, we also have a part to play in all the developmental initiatives and activities. Voicing out our discontentment alone will not make our condition any better. Our comments are more destructive than constructive. Our attitude is the root cause of all the problems we face.
When election comes money becomes more of a concern to them than prayers. One thing we often forget is that inspite of our desire for a good government, we fail to pray for the success of the God fearing politicians. When the good ones comes to power the growth of the nation can be guaranteed. When I hear the word prayer I am reminded of the impact it can have on our leaders. Having said this I want to emphasize more on the need to pray for the leaders of our nation. Good things can happen when we are governed by good people.
Instead of criticizing, we should sit back and pray for able God fearing leaders to rule our nation. Changes will happen and reformation will take place when we are governed by the people of God’s choice. Not everyone can fulfill all of our needs. And not everyone can satisfy our inner most desire. But if we only keep on complaining we shall never see peace and prosperity in our land.
We should pray for good leaders to come to power. Sadly no one ever gives importance to this. Considering the way things are, indicates that we may also be failing on our parts. Even among the politicians there are a few number of God fearing politicians. These are the ones who are really trying to be good. This is not to deny the fact that as they are also all sinners, we are also all sinners. They are the ones who can bring changes and development in our land. Even in the Old Testament we find that the nation of Israel prospered under the leadership of God fearing leaders.
Our nation can also progress if we are governed by such leaders. What we have to do is pray that God will lift many such leaders to rule over us. All that we have to do is ask God to bless our plans. As the Word states in Proverbs 16:3 ask the Lord to bless your plans and you will be successful in carrying them out. If we just believe in it and live by it, the blessings of it will heal our land. Pray for them they will be a blessing to you. Let the good ones prosper that they may be a blessing to many. This is our desire. This is our prayer. And our prayer is that His will be done as we keep on praying. Some day this will be a reality. Believe in it and pray for it.
