ICFAI University Nagaland orientation for undergraduate class conducted

Dimapur, September 30 (MExN): ICFAI University Nagaland conducted the orientation programme for the undergraduate class of 2021-2023 of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences on September 29. 

The guest of honour, Prof Vijay Kumar Vidyarthi, School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development and current Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology Nagaland University, spoke of the importance of skill development, goal-setting, time management, consistency, diligence, gratitude and positivity for success in life – points. 

Chief guest, Dr AK Verma, Vice Chancellor ICFAI University Nagaland, encouraged the students to drive towards creation and innovation; develop a winning attitude and make extensive use of every opportunity and resource available to them. Dr Verma’s  talk centered on space technology and its application in everyday life in to relation political boundaries, societal problems like the pandemic, climate change and disturbances, agriculture, ecosystem maintenance, forest and wild life protection, safety operations, healthcare in isolated locations, health safety , traffic control and  pollution check. 

Assistant Professor, Department of English, Dr Kevizonuo Kuolie and Dr Longchanaro Longkumer, chaired the programme and delivered the welcome address respectively. Alumna of the university Linthoi presented a special performance accompanied by singer-songwriter, Jonathan Yhome.
