Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has deployed additional security forces, strategically stationed to ensure the safety of the business communities and the general public in all key locations.
Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Dr Tinojongshi Chang, conveyed this information in a letter to the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) on April 28, stating that the deployment was one of several measures taken by the Government in response to the DCCI's Charter of Demands.
The Nagaland Government has acknowledged the demands made by the DCCI with great seriousness, addressing them at a Cabinet meeting on April 26 and engaging with various agencies to take immediate action, it said.
The DC further assured that any grievances faced by the business communities would be promptly addressed by the District Administration and Police without hesitation and urged the DCCI to call off the indefinite shutter down. "I sincerely appeal to all to join hands in eradicating this menace together for the betterment and progress of our District," added the DC.
