Dear Nagas,
The recent controversy over giving the 10 post of EAC to the backward tribes depicts the Nagas motives. One has to be careful in dividing the backward and advance tribes and working for it- as through this division it is creating havoc among us. Thus, the Nagaland Christian Democratic Party feels that instead of using such words it will be good to be wise and use some other approach.
The poor and needy, even if others try to convince you with various buttered words, be very careful. Today, even if there may be educated and capable, yet people from deprived family background have less privileges of becoming an officer or get a job- for any kinds of vacancies the rich and the well to do gets them. If Nagas cannot live in justice the practice of injustice dwells both in the backward tribes as well as the advance tribes. Nagas can live in justice and in equality only when a fair government system that fears the Lord Come out and initiate to help the clans and not only the tribes. Why because even among the background tribes and advance tribes there are rich and powerful, living in comfortable lives.
But in some clans there are no any officers, nor government job holders. So only by helping and lifting up the deprived families one can help the less privilege and eradicate the misunderstanding of inequality among the Nagas.
To let Nagas live in oneness various approaches can be initiated but the question is- what our Politician’s are doing? May be in the deep thought and search of money they are drunk in it.
