NSCN/GPRN (Niki) resolves for inclusive political settlement

Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): A joint council meeting of the Government of India & NSCN/GPRN (Niki) on September 12 has unanimously resolved that “any political settlement arrived at should be based on the inclusivity of all stakeholders—Naga Political parties, Naga civil societies and Nagas at large.”

It also resolved to incorporate additional aspirations into the Indo-Naga political settlement, after consultation with the Naga people. A press release from the MIP NSCN/GPRN (Niki) further informed that the house also unanimously passed the resolution to “defend and stand by Naga People's aspirations for sovereignty.”

The joint meeting presided by the Collective leadership was attended by NSCN/GPRN (Niki)’s Political Wing, Central Secretariat and People's Army of Nagaland (PAN) and representatives 24 Regions, Sub-Regions and Affairs, it added. 

The representatives were United Sangtam Region; Konyak Region; Ao Region; Lotha Region; Tisary Region; Khaimniungan Region; Chang Region; Angami Region; Yimkhiung Region; Rengma Region; Kuki Region; Chakhesang Region; Phom Region; Shepoumaram Region; Zeliangrong Region; Sumi Region; Ammamcth Region; UT-1; Kachari Affairs; Arunachal Affairs; Gorkha Affairs; Garo Affairs; Nuiland United Sub-Region and Chümoukedima United Sub-Region.
