NSF committed to commemorate hundred years of Naga Club

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) held its 2nd presidential council meeting on October 22 and reaffirmed its earlier resolution to commemorate the 100 years of Naga Club.  

“The formation of Naga Club was epoch-making for the Nagas to realization of identity and to social and political consciousness and it has started the Naga Journey of collectively responding to the changes of time and envisioning a shared future,” the resolution adopted during the meeting said.  

The NSF felt the Naga people should celebrate “this glorious legacy and take time to retrospect and introspect and thus find inspirations to continue our journey with renewed vigor towards.”   It further stated that with the celebrating of 100 year of Naga Club, the “NSF by no means claim ownership of the Naga Club but to celebrate the legacy as our theme stands, ‘Celebrating the Legacy.’”  

The house further appeal all the students, youths and Nagas to join hand for the Celebrate on October 31 at Naga Solidarity Park and participate in the scheduled commemoration.  

NSF General Secretary, Imtiyapang Imsong informed in a statement that the resolution was adopted by the Vice President, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM); Vice President, Angami Students’ union (ASU); President, Sumi Kiphimi Khukalu (SKK); President, All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (AZSU); President, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS); President, Rengma Students’ Union (RSU); President, Lotha Students’ Union (LSU); President, Ckakhesang Students’ Union (CSU); Vice President, Pochury Students’ Union (PSU); President, Mao Students’ Union (MSU); President, Maram Students Union (MKS); President, Poumai Naga Tsudoumai Me (PNTM); President, Maring Students’ Union (MSU); President, All Moyon Naga Students’ Union (AMNSU); President, Monsang Naga Students’ Union (MNSU); President, Lamkang Naga Students’ Union (LNSU); President, Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT); President, All Naga Students’ Association of Manipur (ANSAM); President, All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU); and President, Naga Students’ Union Delhi (NSUD).
