NSF convenes ‘Extraordinary Emergency Federal Assembly’

Kohima, june 11 (MExN): The Naga Students Federation (NSF) today notified all its federating units, sub-ordinate bodies and senior members that an ‘Extraordinary Emergency Federal Assembly’ for the tenure 2021-2023 is being convened on June 13.

The meeting scheduled at the NSF Conference Hall from 12 noon onwards will discuss ‘on pertaining issues which concerns the office of the Federation,’ informed a notification from NSF Speaker James Brilliantson Kashung. “All the units and concerned senior leaders of NSF are kindly requested to make themselves convenient and attend the same positively,” it added. 

The Assembly assumes significance in light of the recent demolition of the NSF office on May 27 and the chain of events thereafter. 

Among others, the the Angami Public Organisation (APO) and Kohima Village Council (KVC) on June 7 had appealed both  ‘both the leaders of Naga Club and Naga Students Federation (NSF) to “allow any willing and voluntary third party to mediate for restoring normalcy and bring about a meaningful reconciliation outside of the legal court at the earliest possible.”
