NSF urges govt to provide uninterrupted power supply

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 28 (MExN): As students across the state prepare for their exams, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has urged the state government to take immediate action to enhance electricity supply and ensure that all students have access to uninterrupted power supply during the exam period. While it is imperative to have access to reliable electricity, the Federation, in a press statement on Tuesday, however, lamented that the state experience frequent power outages and load shedding, which can have a significant impact on students ability to study and perform well in their exams.

Electricity plays a vital role in the life of students especially during exam period, it powers their study tools such as laptop, tablets and lights, enabling them to study effectively, however the lack of electricity not only disturb their study routine but also effects their mental wellbeing and overall performance, the Federation rued.

It also stated that investing in enhancing electricity supply for students during the exam periods is an investment in the future of our state, as it will not only alleviate the stress and anxiety faced by students but also contribute to their academic success.

Moreover, it will also send a message that the government values education and is committed to providing a conducive environment for learning, the Federation added.
