Robots are taking over: Artificial Intelligence on the rise

Have you got a Job? Do you want to keep it? Do you even think Machine will take over job in not so Develop Country like India? Maybe you should be looking over your shoulder. Machines are making Humans obsolete in the Workplace. Welcome to the Twenty first Century.

Over the past Several Years, The Biggest Tech Companies in Silicon Valley have been aggressively pursuing an approach to Computing Called Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence. As opposed to Traditional Programming where an Engineer writes explicit, Step-by- Step Instructions for the Computer to follow, With Machine Learning, programmers don’t encode Computers with instructions. They train them. If you want to teach a neural network to recognize a Cat, for instance, you don’t tell it to look for whiskers, ears, eyes etc. You simply show it hundreds and hundreds of pictures of cats and eventually it work things out.

When we talk about self-Driving Cars, we think of Flashy Companies like Tesla and Google who are building vehicles designed to transport us around a Jet son-like Future. But the real and immediate upside is in Trucking-a $ 700 Billion Industry where a third of the Costs goes to Drivers. From a Technological Perspective, Trucks are the quickest and easiest to replace an en masse, since the vast Majority of their travels take them along Highways, which are infinitely more predictable than city streets. Plus self driving Trucks are more efficient which cuts down on Fuel costs. Imagine In India after 5 years down the line or even more where Most of the essential Goods and Commodities being carried by Truck Drivers, State to State getting Replaced by self Driving Machine or Robots, let alone America? Calculate  at the Numbers of Truck Drivers who are likely to lose Driving Job and think about their Families whose life are dependent upon the Drivers for their Livelihood, including Taxi Drivers and Auto Drivers. United States have already laid the Foundation for an Autonomous Future, so this is 100 % happening in US and the rest of the world is likely to follow suit.

Undeniably, Artificial intelligence can improve the efficiencies of our work and can augment the work humans can do and thereby generating more revenues .Unlike Human being, Machine can work for longer hours with no stress and no Complaint. Thus, It offers Multiple Solutions. But think about where is this going to end up? Machines across the world has already started making Sushi, Noodles and Pizzas. Japanese amusement Park has taken a Leap of Faith by creating a restaurant with more robots than Human workers. Imagine calling up customer service over the phone and picking up by Robot to assist you with more empathy and efficiency than Humans. A Robot with Arms Prepares savory Pancakes whilst another Robot makes Cocktails or Doughnuts in front of Customers at a Dutch-themed resort in Sasebo in South-west Japan.

A Future in which Human workers are replaced by Machines is about to become a reality at an Insurance firm in Japan where more than 30 Employees are being laid off and replaced with an Artificial Intelligence system that can calculate payout to policy holders.

Would you also care to read in a Newspaper or online if its “written “by a Machine rather than a stressed out hack? Would you even be able to tell the difference? Welcome to the world of “Robo Journalism”- and its coming faster than you think. In London a small team of Journalists and Software Engineers are already working on a Computer system that can do the work of Multiple Human being, Picking out interesting Local Data Trends-Everything from Crime to politics, you name it.

Machine replacing Humans in countries Hospitality sector to meet staff shortfalls are in the rise already. Can you imagine living in India and working in outsourcing Business or in service Industry where everything will be replace by a Robot after some few years. Thousands and thousands of young Indians that work in hospitable industry are likely to be laid off, if a time as such will come.

What will happen when those thousands and thousands of young Naga return home in Nagaland if at all Situation so Demands. Do we have an alternative? About time we think ahead of time lest we become a victim of Circumstances.
