Rumour of suspected COVID-19 case in Dimapur false

Rumours had spread that a person who came from Mumbai had disappeared and that a search was on to locate the person. t was later clarified that the person had indeed arrived from Mumbai on March 16, but had completed screenings at all the airports he transited through.  (Image by S. The rumour of a suspected COVID-19 case in Diphupar, Dimapur is false.  Rumours had spread that a person who came from Mumbai had disappeared and that a search was on to locate the person.

Police confirmed that a group of people had approached them to enquire about the person’s location and status.

 It was later clarified that the person had indeed arrived from Mumbai on March 16, but had completed screenings at all the airports he transited through.  

In order to dispel the rumour, the person concerned approached the Diphupar Police station on March 24 and declared himself.
