A volleyball match being played during the 1st Inter CGKCK Open Futsal and Volleyball tourney which was held from May 16-18 at Vongkithem village, under Ahthibung sub-division, Peren District.
PEREN, MAY 19 (MExN): The 1st Inter Chalkot Gamkai Kuki Christian Khangthah (CGKCK) Open Futsal and Volleyball tourney in aid of Inter CGKCK Conference 2025 under the theme “Glorify God in Everything” was held from May 16-18 at Vongkithem village, under Ahthibung sub-division, Peren District.
A press release from the Organizing Committee informed that Lalseh Chongloi, Inpipu (GB) graced the opening day as the special guest while Mangkholen Lenthang graced the closing ceremony as special guest.
Prizes were handed over by Rev Nehsal Simte, Secretary CGKCC, Seiminthang Chongloi, Chairman CGKCC. Singsung FC, Ahthibung Town were the champion and Lilen YSU ‘B’ bagged the runner up in Open Futsal. In Men’s Volleyball, Hitman, Jalukie Town won the title and Kugami, Bungsang Village Dimapur bagged the runner up. In the Women’s Volleyball, KCK Lilen emerged the champion while KCK Vongkithem bagged the runner up.
The three-day tourney was dedicated by Seikhosat Chongloi, Head Deacon Vongkithem Christian Church. The objective of the tournament was to remind the youths to glorify God in everything they do in their daily life and to prevent the youngster from getting involved in alcoholism and intoxicants. All together 62 teams participated in the futsal and volleyball tournament.
