Six Naga girls to take part in World Sepaktakraw C’ship

DIMAPUR, JULY 9 (MExN): Six Naga girls will participate in the World Sepaktakraw Championship- The 36th Kings Cup at Nakhon Ratchasima Province Thailand from July 8 to 16 as members of the Indian team under the chief coach Hemraj. 

The Kings cup Sepaktakraw world Championship is a Sepaktakraw team event which is considered to be the most prestigious tournament in the sport as most top National teams compete in this annual event. The King’s Cup is dedicated to His Majesty the King of Thailand. Three Regu form a team and winning point is achieved once a team has the majority of two Regu victories out of the three Regus.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Sports Authority of India also sanctioned the 45 days after championship abroad training camp at the Takraw Foundation of Thailand, Bangkok from July 17 to August 30 for the preparation of the up-coming 19th Asian Games China 2023.
