Silver Cup 1st Super Six tournament begins in Kohima

The Silver Cup 1st Super Six tournament organized by Nepali Baptist Church Kohima Youth Department (NBCK YD) commenced today at Razhükhrie GHSS Ground, Kohima.

MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso graced the inaugural session of the three-day tourney as the special guest.

In his brief address, Dr Ato hoped that the initiative would bring better understanding and unity as every run scored is for unity, every boundary and sixes be for peace while every wicket taken would take away the bondage of bad habits among the youth.
Dr Ato also assured to do his best for the uplift of the town. 

Chaired by NBCK YD vice chairperson Sanjana Basel the programme commenced with prayer by NBCK pastor in-charge Jack Thapa while convenor organizing committee Purna B. Sunar delivered the keynote address. Special praise by Umesh Sunam enthralled the gathering.

Altogether 13 teams are vying for the tournament.

The champion  will carry a cash award of Rs 20,000 along with trophy while  runner-up will receive Rs. 10,000.

The tournament will conclude on May 4.
