Team Nagaland wins ‘Best Actor’ award at NE Zonal Science Drama Competition

Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): Little Star Hr Secondary School, Dimapur under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of Nagaland represented Nagaland State at the North-East Zonal Science Drama Competition 2023-24 which was held in Regional Science Centre Guwahati on November 24.  

The school was selected to represent Nagaland after winning the State Level Science Drama Competition in October last, stated a press release issued by Er V Zhale, Jr Mentor, Department of Science & Technology.

A 10-member team comprising of seven stage artists (school students), two teachers and official from the department represented Nagaland wherein Limnuker Jamir also won the Best Actor award. Assam was crowned the Best Drama Team, Tripura bagged the second position.

The event was graced by Kuladhar Saika, Ex-Director General of Police and President of Assam Sahitya Sabha, Assam.

Science Drama Competition is an annual event which is organised across the country with a primary aim to showcase juvenile artistic creativity and to use the medium of drama as a potent tool for dealing with socio-scientific issues of current importance in the society. 

The Competition begins at the State Level, followed by the Zonal level and ultimately culminates at the National Level i.e. The National Science Drama Festival (NSDF) which is organised and managed by the National Council of Science Museums.
