LONGLENG, MAY 5 (MExN): A farewell program in honour of outgoing officer, S. Yongchang Phom, District Agri Officer (DAO) Longleng, was held at DAO office Longleng on May 4.
DDAO P. Kongham Phom, in his short speech, congratulated the outgoing officer on his new assignment as Additional Director. During his tenure as the DAO, his dedication and selfless contribution towards farming community was eye opener for Longleng farmers in various aspects. As an officer, he worked very efficiently at grassroots level for the uplift of the farmers, the DDAO stated.
On behalf of Agri department staffs, he thanked the outgoing officer for his contribution in many aspects not only towards farmers but also setting a good example for his successor.
Outgoing officer DAO S. Yongchang Phom, in his address, thanked all the staffs for their cooperation and support and for accepting him as a family member and also diligently doing all office and field work as assigned. He encouraged all to continue with the same working spirit for the upliftment of the farming community. He emphasised that Agriculture is the backbone for our livelihood and urged all to work efficiently and support the farmers. Earlier the program was chaired by M. Chingsang Phom, AO Longleng.
