Various competitions highlight ‘violence against women & children in Wokha’

Wokha, July 16 (MExN): Felicitation programme for online inter school and college photography and short film competition organized by Wokha District Administration under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) in collaboration with DLCW, MSK and Saki One Stop Centre on the topic ‘violence against women & children in Wokha’ was held at Deputy Commissioner Conference hall on July 16.

 

A DIPR report stated that EAC (Jud), Wokha, I Yentinoungbuo speaking at the felicitation programme said child abuse, sexual and domestic violence are among the most destructive experiences afflicting women and children. He called for a coordinated effort from all sections to effectively address these kinds of issues in order to safeguard and protect women and children.

 

The motive behind organizing this event is to keep the student’s engaged themselves and enable them to work from home during this time of pandemic and to explore their talents.

 

In the photography competition Sochumlo and Nzanbeni Sophia N Lapon both from Perennial Montessori School bagged the 1st and 2nd prize while Lyingbeni Patton of Bethsaida School bagged the third prize.

 

In the in the short film competition Class-XII (C) GHSS, Class-XII (B) GHSS and Class-XII (Science) received the first, second and third prize respectively. Certificate of participations were also given to all the participants.
