PM to virtually inaugurate 91 100W FM Transmitters across India on Friday 

Kohima/Mon (MExN): The ‘long cherished dream’ of Mon and Tuensang would getting realised when Prime Minister of India virtually inaugurates ninety-one 100W FM Transmitters across the country from his residence at 10.30 AM on April 28, an official release informed. 

The transmitter will be operating on FM frequency 100.1 MHz and will bring to the people a bouquet of various programmes of entertainment and education, added the release from PIB Kohima.

It is expected to be heard in around 400 Sq. km area and benefit thousands of listeners in the town and nearby villages, it added.

Meanwhile, an event to mark the occasion is being organised in the premises of AIR Mon and the Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Phangnon Konyak, MP Rajya Sabha will be joining the celebration.  

Many prominent persons of Mon including senior Government officers & dignitaries are likely to be physically present at AIR Mon site during the inauguration, the release added.
