49th Ura Academy Seminar culminates

A three day long 49th Ura Academy Seminar concluded here today at Ura Academy premises.

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) Chairman Asano Sekhose in her speech said that language learning is essentially a matter of acquiring the important skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

She told the teachers to nurture the attitudes of the students in learning language.

When teacher is positively inclined towards pupils’ diverse linguistic, ethnic and socio-cultural background, pupils also tend to get motivated and in valued teaching learning process, she said.

Regretting that many children in fact cannot speak their mother language properly today due to varied reasons, she stressed on the need to conduct a seminar with parents.

Later, Ura Academy president Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu delivered presidential address.

The session was led by Thinokhrieü Tseikhanuo while Ura Academy ceremonial candle was lighted by Rev Tsolie Chase.

Earlier, as part of the seminar, Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK) held its Tenyidie Literature festival on May 30.
In the second session, various artistes performed songs and instrumental pieces, drama by Nagaland University Tenyidie department, poetry recitation by Meteitoulie Talie.

Keviuchütuo Kuotsu, Asst professor Oriental college, Khrietuo Rüpreo, Thenucho Tunyi, Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, Managing Director, Northfield and Vipralhou Kesiezie also exhorted the gathering.
