Kohima, September 23 (MExN): The culmination programme of PMKSY- WDC (Erstwhile IWMP) for Batch V+ VI (Project IX & X) took place today at Phek town.
Speaking on the occasion, Phek deputy commissioner Razouvolie Dozo urged upon all the stakeholders to make the best use of the facilities/schemes being extended by the state government.
Calling for effective implementation of the projects, he said “Develop it, maintain it and get benefit out of it.”
Delivering keynote address, Levi Bennet, DPO, Land Resources, Phek stressed on the importance of constituting the Watershed Management Board to maintain and sustain the assets created during the project duration.
Chisato Vero and Solomon Thüvüry spoke on behalf of Project IX and project X respectively.
The programnne also witnessed handing over of watershed development fund.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Vesalu Puro, WDT member while vote of thanks was proposed by Neilhouvolie, AI.
