DC Mokokchung cautions public

Mokokchung, Nov 10 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Imkongtemsu Ao in a notification issued today has stated that the attention of the administration of Mokokchung has been attracted by the Ao Milen issue of November 3 with the heading “Ao Kin Aramesoang” which appeared on page 4.

The DC warned “Whereas as claimed by the writer of the article there might be some material for reference, however the contents are found to be inflammatory. The Government is also on high alert for detection, arrest and deportation of any foreign nationals. The Public are also required to maintain alert and if any illegal immigrants is detected, the DC has informed to immediately report the matter to the police or the District Administration for follow up action.

“It has also come to the notice of the District Administration that some Youths are going round issuing notice to some selected Muslims to leave Mokokchung. This amounts to taking law in their own hands which is illegal”, said the DC

“Again attention of the District Administration is attracted by an article in November 8 issue of Ao Milen in the front page with the caption “Tongdentsuyong Ward Nungi Mia Nunger 11 (Eleven) Aridoker (11 Mias in Tongdentsuyong Ward evicted)”. This is a serious issue, any Muslims who are in Mokokchung, if proved to be illegal immigrants should immediately be brought to the notice of the District Authority. All Ward Authorities are directed to insure that the youth in respective wards do not take Law in their hands.

“There are genuine Indian Muslims who has Constitutional rights to move around anywhere within the Indian Union. There is every likelihood of this issue becoming not only a National issue but an International issue. If someone mishandle this not only the Public of Mokokchung but the whole Public of the District should refrain from taking Law in their own hand”, stated the notification.
