GPRN/NSCN dedicates church at Camp Khehoi

Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): With the unveiling of the marble stone at the premises, a beautiful new Church at GPRN/NSCN Designated Camp Khehoi was dedicated to the Lord on Sunday, the 4th July, 2010, by Rev. Dr. V.K Nuh, General Secretary CNBC. Soon after, with a solemn prayer, Rev. O Alem opened the doors of the new Church to invitees, guests and national workers. Rev. Dr Wati Aier, Convener, Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) conducted an invocation at the service.

According to a press note issued by the MIP, the Ato Kilonser of the GPRN N Kitovi Zhimomi in his short speech, pointed out that dedicating the new Church for the glory of the Lord is good but he asked the members whether they are ready and willing to open their hearts and dedicate themselves to Christ. “To dedicate the Church to Christ and not surrender our hearts to Christ would be meaningless”, the Ato Kilonser said while adding that the new Church at Designated Camp Khehoi must be a worshipping place where all National workers and their families should make closer contact with Christ. He hoped that every National worker would recommit himself/herself to Christ, the head of the Church, and built personal relationship with God. This is the only way for the Naga Nation to strengthen its foundation, he added.

Rev. O Alem, E.S, ABAM, who brought a short sermon to the congregation, picked Romans 12:2 to touch the hearts of the invitees and National workers. He shared that of all God’s creations, it is man alone who worships God and it is man alone who is created in his own image.

“God put love into each human being so that man could worship God alone or in group, accepting and loving one another. When man decides to walk with God, he surrenders himself to God. Worship is surrendering ourselves to God”, he said. Rev O. Alem also said that dedicating the Church to the Lord must be accompanied by our willingness to obey Him. “We achieve many things only when we built relationship with God”. He appealed to the gathering that reconciliation among the people will bear fruit only when the people first reconciles with God. Seeking Jehovah’s will is most important because real freedom is with the Lord, he said.

Earlier, a welcome speech was given Haolim Kuki, NPAC Member. Presentations prepared by Council of Nagaland Churches were given away to dignitaries, guests and also to GPRN/NSCN officials. Miss Linda Kuki presented a special number while the vote of thanks spoken by Hevukhu Yeptho, Speaker of the Tatar Hoho. Rev. Mongthung, E.S, NPBC, pronounced the benediction.
