Dimapur, April 30 (MExN): The 58th parting social of Dimapur Government College (DGC) was held under the theme, ‘Scribbling New Paths’ at the college auditorium on April 30 with Dr Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur as special guest and Prof Sanjay Sharma, Principal DGC as guest of honour. 

A press release received here stated that the DC Dimapur in his address thanked the college administration, faculty and staff for extending cooperation at all times, particularly mentioning election related work and duties. He shared about his own experiences and struggles, motivating the gathered youngsters never to give up on their dreams despite setbacks. He encouraged the students to give their very best as they ready themselves to venture out into the world. 

The Principal in his speech expressed gratitude to the graduating students for their contributions towards the betterment of the college and for being good role models to the juniors. He specifically mentioned the drinking water facility, which was a major contribution of the graduating batch. 

Speech on behalf of the graduating students was delivered by Rendemo C Tsanglao, Former General Secretary, DGCSC (2022-2023) and every graduating student was given memorabilia by the juniors. Lengnio C sang a special song while Sholih and Atsavi performed a dance.

Pastor Jack Pucho of The Warehouse Church, Dimapur pronounced a special prayer for the graduating students. The formal programme culminated with the benediction by Neangmai Konyak, Assistant Secretary, EUDGC. This was followed by the informal session which saw a variety of performances from the students.
