HBI launches doctorate in Ministry programme

Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): ‘Growing a great commission church’, a seminar to envision denominational church leaders, mission directors and pastors was organised on Friday by the Hindustan Bible Institute (HBI), Dimapur branch. With a view to create a great impact for church ministries, Reverend Dr. B Gupta from Chennai spoke to about 50 church leaders gathered at the venue.

Another objective of the seminar included the launch of the Doctorate of Ministry in Dimapur. A programme for ministry leadership and skill development programme, the doctorate is being offered by the Hindustan Bible Institute and College. The institute which was founded in 1952 professes to develop committed, competent and mature indigenous leaders who will dedicate their lives to bring transformational communities in every people group of India. The programme is being offered to people having a bachelor of divinity (B.Div) and masters in divinity (M.Div) by ATA under the Senate of Serampore.

The seminar was held at the Indigenous Culture Society Centre in Dimapur. Highlights about GGCC and the HBI Dimapur regional training centre, was given by Dr. Lemech, the chairman and a visiting faculty of HBI.
