Kohima, November 11 (MExN): The three-day Olivian Fest 2023 concluded at Mount Olive College, Kohima on Friday.

Moatemsu, an alumnus and Youth Director of 4th NAP ‘C’ Coy Baptist Fellowship shared motivational words with the students while emphasising that when students passionately pursue their dreams, life awakens, and everything gains significance.

Drawing a connection between dreams and reality, he stressed the importance of taking action to bridge the gap. He cited Diego Maradona’s journey, which led Argentina to victory in the 1986 World Cup final. However, he said, Maradona faced setbacks, being disqualified from the next World Cup due to a positive drug test. Using this example, he urged students to steer clear of drugs to achieve success in their pursuits. Infusing wisdom from biblical teachings, Moatemsu underscored the value of hard work, applicable not only in sports but also in areas such as business and the arts. He encouraged students to trust in God in all their endeavors.

The day was also marked by a literary cum alumni meet, an extemporaneous speech competition, and a debate on the topic “Is artificial intelligence a threat to humanity?”

Guest artists Nikato Tamang and Bokato Kiho added musical brilliance to the occasion. Highlights of the day included “Olivians Got Talent,” featuring performances from guest artists, followed by a valedictory session and the much-anticipated “Olivian Feast.”

The festivities continued with a bonfire and Karaoke, creating a memorable conclusion to Olivian Fest 2023.
