DIMAPUR, JUNE 9 (MExN): Taking up issue with the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), the NSCN (IM) has appealed to the “Chakhesang intelligentsia to take corrective measures” and to make the Naga people understand the “ground reality”. NSCN (IM) Deputy Kilonser MIP, Kraiba Chawang in an SMS statement pointed out that the CPO justified the signing of the Shillong Accord but that it had “refused to acknowledge the implication and damage done by the accord” and that the NNC/FGN can “never escape from being the culprit”.
“Taking the oddest situation and on the pretext of saving national workers’ lives, the CPO justified the signing of the Shillong Accord but refused to acknowledge the implication and damage done by the Accord”, the SMS read.
The NSCN (IM) stated that the national freedom struggle could not proceed under the banner of NNC unless the accord was condemned by NNC. “Thus it lost peoples mandate and became the illegal institution”.
Yet CPO says NNC is the legitimate ground to unite. This is simply a language of undermining NSCN, which is the only and already authenticated ground of the people and the solution is knocking under the current peace process, the MIP Deputy Kilonser stated in the SMS.
Pointing out that the CPO effort will never bear fruit; the NSCN (IM) alleged that what was happening in the Chakhesang area is also the creation of CPO only as indicated in their political statement. “The NSCN appeal to the Chakhesang intelligentsia to take corrective measure and make our people understand the ground reality . Otherwise CPO statement would be replied politically in appropriate manner on the ground. Under compelling circumstances the situation may be blown out of proportion for which the NSCN should not be blamed”, Chawang stated.
