Sensing the urgency for “repentance, reconciliation and unity among the Nagas and in the body of Christ,” the organizers of the ongoing 40 Days of Revival have set aside a special five-day event as part of the last days of 40 Days of Revival under the theme ‘Heal Nagaland’.

“It is a clarion call to all the Naga brothers and sisters, irrespective of denomination, race, caste, age, gender, or status, to come together in unity and pray for the healing of the land. ‘Heal Nagaland’ will be held from April 15-19 at the football ground of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur,” informed an update from the Sinai Ministry, Dimapur.

During the last five days, the speakers will be Rev Kilang Jamir, Director, Youth Harvest Mission, Dimapur; Wabang Longchari, Director, Sinai Ministry; Charley Elliot Sr, Soul Harvest Mission, US; Rev Shan Kikon, Lead Pastor, Faith Harvest Church, Kohima; and Rev Dr Wati Aier, Convenor, Forum for Naga Reconciliation.

Dignitaries from different offices and backgrounds, well-known artistes and influencers are stated to be part of the event. Some of the guest artists will include Alobo Naga, Tali Angh, Abdon Mech, Dreamz Unlimited and Sinai Music.

When the direction for 40 Days of Revival was given to the Sinai Ministry, “it was under the conviction that the Lord was calling the Body of Christ in Nagaland to awaken and come together in one spirit and heart, irrespective of denomination, tribe, social status or rank,” the organisers reiterated.  “What made it more remarkable and significant was the reminder that this year commemorates 150 years of Christianity in Nagaland,” it stated.

“Feeling the urgency of the hour, Sinai Ministry took this step of faith, and reached out to individuals, churches, ministries and organizations of different denominations around Dimapur, to partner with them in this vision. And with much positive response, encouragement and support from everyone approached, within a week or less since the vision was given, 40 Days of Revival was set in motion,” it added.

The revival started from March 11 and it has continued till date. The first 11 services were held at The Lighthouse Church, where speakers from different denominations and backgrounds came and preached. From thereon it was hosted at the Catholic Church of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Nagaland Christian Revival Church (Sumi), Nagaland Pentecostal Church, Shekinah Glory Prayer Centre, World Impact Community Church, Bethesda Assemblies of God Church, Baptist Revival Church, Town Baptist Church, Crossway Church, Tetso College, Logos College, Servanthood Bible College, Kingdom Culture Church, followed by services in the open air venues.

A clarion call for ‘unity’

In all the services held till date, the speakers have stressed on “unity in the body of Christ as the need of the hour, to repent and seek for personal revival as well.”

“There is no revival without repentance. There will never be outward transformation without an inward transformation,” challenged Pastor Wabang Longchari, speaking on the first day of the revival at The Lighthouse Church.

“We all have a lot to teach and learn from each other. Even the Catholic churches, even the Protestant churches, Angelican churches, Baptist churches. We all have to come together, sharing our differences… It’s a time to share, enlighten each other and make our Nagaland shine for Christ,” called Dr Fr CP Anto, Peace Channel.

“Revival is all about spiritual awakening, and then rising above the spiritual sicknesses and spiritual bankruptcy, and shining with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Revival is about humble submission to God for healing,” said Rev Moses Murry, Bethesda Assemblies of God Church.

“Nothing good can happen in isolation. We need to come together as a body of Christ, churches, so that growth may take place,” entreated Pastor Kenei Kiso of Life Square Church.

“We need to be sensitive to the timely word that God releases upon our lives, upon our family, upon our land, upon our nation,” urged Tali Angh, The Lighthouse Church.

“Your life, family, church, the government, business, career…; anything that is not founded in Christ will be shaken,” Pastor Wabang Longchari further cautioned.

“Jesus is calling us to a deep lifestyle of following; of humility and of constantly dying to our selfishness, selfish desires, to our ego, to our pride,” asserted Pastor Visasier Kevichusa, Kingdom Culture Church.
