The general conference of Ao Senden was held at Town hall, Mokokchung on September 3. During the conference, the house decided to retain the current team of office bearers for another tenure with Chubawati Longchar, President; I Imkong Jamir, Vice-President; Imtipokyim, Secretary and Arentemsu Jamir, Assistant Secretary.

Exhorting the gathering, Nagaland Minister for Rural Development Metsubu Jamir said that Ao Senden as an apex organization was working as the uniting factor for all the Aos and appreciated their efforts. We need to look back at our past and remember our history and roots and where we all started then only we can move forward better, he added.

Metsubu lamented that the Aos have started to live an individualistic life which makes it difficult for the people to unite as one. Further, he added that the Aos lack confidentiality and therefore, need to have confidentiality in order to unite.

Reports of various subcommittees of the Ao Senden were given during the meeting.
