“Speech, a ready man; writing, an exact man”- Francis Bacon

Our ancestors were savage men until in the 19th century, the Holy Writ teaching were made clear and with it, education steadily progressed among us and the knowledge of how to read and write. True, they were unlettered ancestors, one and all, yet their folk belief and customary laws were handed down, orally without education. However, there could have only been mere survival, no future hope. From the ideal teacher Jesus, our belief is fulfilled that we can hear at every step of the way. From the day we are born, we start learning and progress to formal institutional learning. Learning begins at school with the Roman alphabet of twenty-six characters. In the nursery class, recital in unison is heard, for example, ‘Ba, ba black sheep’.

To sing the nursery-rhyme is the beginning of study in Kinder- garden class. A very longish peregrination has well and truly begun with the English alphabet A,B,C,1,2,3 takes us on the way to Science and Commerce with all the other subjects in the school curriculum.

To quote Francis Bacon again, “School is Life” classroom study is a half of school education and the other half a child learns from other extracurricular activities which helps to make the complete ‘woman’ and ‘man’ in today’s world. Whether pursuing personal interests and passions or chasing professional ambitions, life-long learning can help us to achieve personal fulfillment and satisfaction. Humans have a natural drive to explore, learn and grow and encourages us to improve our own quality of life and sense of self-worth by paying attention to the ideas and goals that aspire us.

The early 21st century began the age of Education, Globalization with local education, institutions continuing their expansion efforts both within and outside the national area, in an attempt to meet the  growing market demand. The breakdown of geographic boundaries has facilitated both local and global competition. To face this competition many Universities and Vocational Schools moved aggressively into the adult learning market. Today is even easier to serve adult learners utilizing new technologies and the introduction of the internet, online blended and e-learning. Continuing education and distance learning organizations lead the way by adopting technologies.

Of Late, This technologies has opened the way for cross-continental conferencing, information on any and every subject can be obtained at one’s fingers’ ends. If we are to witness the commercial run of Educational Institutions in this country, it has become or doing a fast business with multi-lakh monthly turn over. In the school stage, parents usually spend a big fortune to enable their children to pursue higher study with Engineering, Medicine, Laws etc Indeed, a little knowledge is dangerous and education has become a weapon against the illiteracy. There is no appeasement a mere survival for them. Yet it is our eyes which are our real windows on the world and self taught geniuses have risen to pre-eminence with flying colours. In the latter respect there is no hurdle or obstacle for anyone. It needs faith as taught in Mathew 17:20 and Luke 1:37 that nothing is impossible.
