‘Nagaland Honey should be a storytelling product’

Dimapur, June 26 (MExN): Advisor to Chief Minister & Chairman IDAN, Abu Metha had an interactive session with the officials of Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) at the Multi Utility Center, NBHM on June 26.

A DIPR report stated that underscoring the huge potential of Honey for the economy of Nagaland, Metha advised the officials to collaborate and invest for Nagaland Honey while stating, “Nagaland Honey should be a storytelling product with each production coming with unique tales of stories and offering the best quality.” 

He felt the need for an expert in marketing of the product and also emphasised on the importance of social media platforms for marketing. “Honey Mission should aim for the benefit of beekeeping and villagers who takes up bee keeping,” Abu maintained. 

Meanwhile, he lauded the Honey mission for coming thus far and encouraged them for further improvement for uplifting Nagaland’s economy. He reminded that the mission should not only go for promotion development but also marketing purposes and multitasking so that Nagaland honey can be exported and seen selling in other countries as well. 

Abu also urged upon the mission officials to come together and bring to success by taking out the honey of Nagaland in different countries.
