Sovima, April 29 (MExN): Wokha and Mokokchung today secured victories in their respective matches during the ongoing Senior Men's Inter-District One Day Tournament 2024 final round organised by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).
In the first match on April 29 at Sovima Cricket Ground, Wokha defeated Longleng by 7 wickets. Player of the Match W Thechamo Odyuo delivered a stellar performance in bowling, claiming 6 wickets and conceding just 11 runs, thus restricting Longleng to a low score of 88 runs.
Wokha comfortably chased down the target, scoring 89 runs for 3 wickets in just 14.4 overs.
Mokokchung also secured a comfortable 4-wicket win against Mon in the second match.
Nihal Rai's 70 runs and 2 wickets for 26 runs earned him the Player of the Match title for Mokokchung. Earlier, Mon posted a total of 182 runs for 10 wickets, but Mokokchung successfully chased down the target, scoring 188 runs for 6 wickets in 34.2 overs."
