Boys’ U-16 inter-district: Kohima, Niuland dominate opponents

Sovima, April 29 (MExN): Kohima and Niuland registered wins in the ongoing Boys' Under-16 Inter-District Tournament 2024 organised by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) on April 29.

Batting first in the match played at Jakhama local ground, Kohima scored 143/10 in their first innings and restricted Dimapur to 105/10.

Kohima increased the lead by scoring 197 runs in their second innings, setting a target of 235 runs for Dimapur to win the match. I

n reply, Dimapur could manage only 131 runs and lost the match by 104 runs.

The encounter between Niuland and Peren at St Xavier College Ground, Jalukie, also saw the former winning the match by 95 runs.

In the first innings, Niuland scored 131 runs and restricted Peren to just 48 runs. In the second innings, Niuland scored 88 runs, setting a target of 171 for Peren. However, Peren failed to chase the target as they were bowled out for 76/10.
