PUGHOBOTO, OCTOBER 8 (MExN): The first season of Pughoboto Super League was kicked off on October 8 with Mustafa Ahmed, State Secretary, Minority Morcha, BJP, Nagaland as special invitee in the opening ceremony.
All together, eight teams are participating in the league from Pughoboto and Mishili.
The first match saw Vulaito Sector defeat Mishili Phuye XI 5-1. Xukuto Zhimo of Vulaito scored the first hatrick of the league in the opening match.
In the second match, Mishili Yepaqa defeated Shenaito Sector by a lone goal.
Earlier, the special invitee encouraged the player’s to maintain sportsmanship and discipline. He appealed the players to cooperate with the Aphuyemi Football Club and get platforms beyond Pughoboto. Ahmed also assured that he will support and promote sports in Pughoboto area. He thanked the Pughoboto people for the love and support in his venture. He further assured to help the sportspersons from Pughoboto area to go beyond Nagaland.
