Oriental Theological College celebrates 25 years 

Longkhim, October 16 (MExN): Oriental Theological College, Yangli celebrated its 25th anniversary with the theme ‘Venturing in His Faithfulness’ with Shalom Bible Seminary, Principal, Dr Sanyü Iralu as the speaker on October 15.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Sanyü posited three basics of venturing in faith: Accepting God’s word as true and trustworthy; winning God’s approval; and Recognizing God’s power. 

Special guests on the occasion were minster for Higher Education & Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along and Minister Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining NSMDC Ltd, V Kashiho Sangtam. 

Imna Along in his greetings called upon the people of God to be an agent of transformation. Citing the Bible, he strongly believed that ‘the gospel of Christ has the power to transform everything.’ “Be soul winners, people’s winner and become conqueror,” he challenged.

A 25th year anniversary celebration souvenir was released by Kashiho Sangtam. While delivering a short speech, Kashiho said that a relational building with other tribes becomes our priority. Challenging the congregation, he emphasized on the involvement of church in fighting against the corruption. He observed that theologians can become politicians and administrators to lead the society in truth.

A foundation stone for the Boy’s Hostel construction was laid by Imna Along in the presence of Khashiho Sangtam. 

An alumni night programme was held on October 14 where Executive Secretary, USBLA, Rev Y Imty was the speaker. He spoke on the leadership skills from the life of Moses in the Bible.
