“All who dwell on the Earth will worship him... From the foundations of the World.” (Revelation 13:8)
Lucifer was once the leader of the Angelic host with extraordinary gifts, yet the main reason of his fall was failure to worship God. The Children of Israel fell into slavery as they also failed to worship God. According to the history of Israel, Solomon Temple which was the first and the most luxurious temple was destroyed mainly because of misuse and abuse in worship. Even in the New Testament time the main cause of arousing Jesus’ violent anger that compelled him to cleanse the temple was due to the defilement of the temple. Jesus said “... My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves” Matthew 21:13. As a consequence by 70 AD General Titus destroyed this Temple.
During the New Testament Era, the World or the believers of Jesus Christ are being blessed to have ‘Church’ which is the highest Divine ordained Institute. A place of worship and a source of blessing especially meant to destroy forces of darkness to bring down the strongholds that are threatening the World by way of Pandemic, False Teachers, all kinds of Evils etc. Scripture says “...The Gates of Hades shall not prevail against the Church” Matthew 16:18.
Accordingly, the Church should play its role to bring about transformation in the World and produce disciples in the Lord’s Mission.
As the Samaritan woman learnt to worship Jesus in truth and Spirit immediately she began to witness about Jesus in the city and many were saved ( John 4:39)
True worshippers develop zeal to witness about Jesus. Their presence truly become sweet fragrance, “For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are perishing” (2Corinthians 2:15). Moreover, they become generous in giving which is a “Sweet smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice well pleasing to God”(Philippians 4:18).
Above all, true worshipper's prayers are incense as “... Golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints”( Revelation 5:8)
Persistent prayer is the need of the hour. I therefore, appeal to every Believer to rise up and pray for one another as mentioned in the bible“ Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men”1 Timothy 2:1.
Let us pray for the following few points:
1. Pray for peaceful settlement of the Nagas
2. Pray for Great Spiritual Awakening in Nagaland and all over the World
3. Pray for all who are in authority (Leaders)
4. Pray for all Churches to produce disciples, missionaries etc
5. Pray for physical and spiritual healing for every people all over the World
