Hornbill Music Festival now christened ‘The Experiential Festival’

From 2019, the Hornbill Music Festival will have a new sobriquet - ‘The Experiential Festival’ and promises the festival goers immersive experiences via music and other performing arts.  

The new logo for ‘Hornbill Music Festival-The Experiential Festival’ was launched on Sunday.

“Happy to launch the new logo of #HornbillMusicFestival - The Experiential Festival,” Nagaland Chief Minister tweeted, informing about the launch of launching the logo and calling the festival, “India's most anticipated music festival.”

‘We look forward to welcoming the international music fraternity to Nagaland, the Land of Festivals,’ he added.  

In August this year, the Nagaland government decided to discontinue the popular Hornbill International Rock Contest held annually as a part of the Hornbill Music Festival.

As a part of Government’s "all-inclusive policy" strategy by giving maximum platform and opportunity to local musicians, ‘Nagaland Choir Olympics’ and  “Ticket To Hornbill – State Edition” were held across the State.  

The aim is to make the Hornbill Music Festival into a full-fledged music festival.
