Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized tree plantation drives at across Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh from August 3 to 20 with an aim to reduce impact of global warming and to maintain ecological balance. A total of approx 48,915 saplings, including locally available flora and fruit-bearing trees, were planted by all ranks.
