FAC imparts computer efficiency training to staff

Mokokchung, July 21 (MExN): A six-day training programme on Google Workspace for Educational Institute Management and Tally Prime was organised by Systems & Information Committee, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung from July 12 to 17. 

The resource persons were drawn from the college faculty comprising of Dr Abhijit Borah, Physics Department; N John Kuotsu, Computer Science; Lanunungsang, Computer Science, and Dr Imlinichet Imchen, Economics Department, according to a press release from the college.

As per the release, the aim of the training was to enable college staff to effortlessly use computers in the execution of their duties. The target was to train eight selected office staff with one computer each for six days, in modules including G Suite / Google Workplace (GMail/Google Drive/Google Documents), Google Sheets, Admission Module of Fazl Ali College, Examination Module of Fazl Ali College, Tally (mandatory/exclusive) for the account section staff. 

The release stated that among others, organisers and participants of the training programme gave feedbacks that more training programmes, specialised for specific office responsibilities should be organised. 

It also said that the college has future plans to provide online admission training for fresh admissions, preparation of roll sheet of college examinees for University, automate printing of admit cards of examinees and provide training to personal assistants and other clerks of the college so that they can send, receive and compose emails, share information online, keep document records online and use computers more efficiently.
