NDPP women organization conduct outreach programme

Kohima, October 16 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) women organization Kohima region conducted the second leg of the 1st Phase Outreach Programme with 9th Kohima town A/C (Women) at AMK hall on October 16. It was held in the presence of Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, Advisor, Urban & Municipal Affairs.

Touching on ULB Act and ULB election, Dr Nike said, “Failure to conduct the election is depriving the state from many funds, schemes, benefits and privileges.” 

He said that irrespective of A/Cs, more interactions among the different A/Cs will go a long way in sharing ideas, strategies and information disseminations for overall growth of the party policies and structure. He said that only when we work together we bring out the best in each other.

While appreciating the women organisation for organizing such a meeting, Dr Nicky lauded the efforts and initiatives taken by the party women at all level in their quest for a strong NDPP party. “Only when we meet and communicate more we understand each other better, remove doubts and grow together,” he said.

Dwelling on gender equality and congratulating the Naga women for being many level ahead of men in all area, he particularly mentioned two women Achievers Dr Temsula Ao, former Chairperson, Women Commission and Dr Kilemla Ao, the first Naga to be selected as a member of the Prestigious UPSC.

Further, Dr Nicky appealed the women organization to support and strengthen the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak.
